Aristotly Platform FAQ

Questions related to the Aristotly Higher Ed Platform.

What is Aristotly?

Aristotly is a B2B marketplace & buyer's guide for higher ed institutions (buyers) and higher ed providers (vendors). With over 1 million data points on 3300 vendors, it aims to be the most trusted resource for discovering, assessing, and comparing vendors across 100 higher ed categories. Aristotly covers all aspects of higher ed buying from architecture firms, to strategic consultants, to software systems.

How can vendors get listed on Aristotly?

If you don't yet have an Aristotly account or profile, go to Aristotly.com and sign up. During the registration process, you'll see a place to put your "Organization" (see the screenshot below). Check to see if your organization already exists. If it does, select it from the list. If it doesn't, a new organization page will be created. To claim a profile, make sure you sign up with you company email address.

Can I remove my organization's profile from Aristotly?

Unfortunately no. In order to be a trusted resource in higher ed, we must be comprehensive in our research. If there is information on your profile that involves personal, non-public data, feel free reach us at support@aristotly.com and we'll be happy to help.

Does it cost anything to be listed or reviewed?

Nope! All Aristotly profiles are free. You can invite an unlimited number of clients to review you under our Free Plan. We do offer premium profiles and services to help vendors gather reviews & case studies, capture leads, and create high-converting collateral. If you're interested poke around the Aristotly Vendor website or get in touch at hi@aristotly.com.

What's the "Score" and "Size" numbers next to my profile?

We collect data from all over the web about the higher ed vendor market. This data includes how others talk about vendors online, how fast they're growing in search & social ranks, how big they are as a company, and more. We use that data to calculate a Score and Size for each vendor. Score reflects how well you're trending in your market. Size is how much of the market you control. We will be refining our algorithms throughout 2019 to increase the accuracy of these figures.

Verified reviews & star ratings on Aristotly are one of the biggest determinants of your Score. Star ratings also show in our category lists, in our buyer guides, and on your organizational profile. The fastest way to increase your score is to have customers leave you positive reviews.

What is an Aristotly Higher Ed Buyer Guide?

Throughout 2019 Aristotly's content team and marketing partners will be putting together a series of Buyer Guides to complement the Aristotly platform. These will be published as long-format, visual, web-based "playbooks" and Buyer Guide PDFs. Vendor reviews and vendor scores will be rolled up into each Buyer Guide. See our Editorial Calendar for upcoming categories.

How can we be included in a Higher Ed Buyer Guide?

We aim to have all vendors listed in our buyer guides. If you want your company to have a bigger presence in our guide, there are three great ways:

  • Thought Leadership: if you're an expert in a topic we're covering, we'd love to pick your brains. We're especially keen on case studies of how vendors solve problems for buyers, where we can interview both the buyer and the vendor. Reach out to us at hi@aristotly.com
  • Sponsorships & Features: if you're a Premium or Enterprise client for Aristotly Vendor Services, we will work with you to feature your work and thought leadership. Different levels of branded sponsorship are available depending on the content being produced. Contact us.
  • Reviews, Ratings, & Score: all Aristotly vendor profiles have access to gather client reviews for free. Scores and ratings on Aristotly will also be included in the Higher Ed Buyer Guides. We also offer premium services to help gather reviews & case studies more easily. See "Pricing Plans."
Does it cost anything to be listed in a Buyer Guide?

No, so long as you're an established vendor with a significant presence in higher ed, we will include you. Make sure you create a free profile on Aristotly. You should also gather reviews in advance of publication so that your company's rating & score is reflected in our PDFs.

We're interested in great thought leadership and higher ed case studies, especially where we can interview both buyer and vendor, showing how they co-solved a particular problem.

We offer sponsorships and features for our Premium & Enterprise clients. If you're interested, see "Pricing Plans." We can help you gather reviews and case studies in advance of publication.

Where will this content be free to the public?

Vendors who want to go the extra mile can read about our services and premium features here. While we will cover all notable vendors in our category guides, we will be working with a select group throughout 2019 to capture customer interviews, case studies, and reviews so they can be rolled up into the guides.

‍All of these guides will be free (as in free pizza for life) to the higher ed community. If you're a higher ed buyer, sign up on Aristotly.com to get updates as we publish. If you're a vendor, claim your profiles on Aristotly and invite your clients to review you (this too is completely free).

  • Category Playbooks: long-format (9000 word) multi-section online blog posts with illustrations and links to vendor profiles, case studies, and reviews.
  • Category Guides: 15-30pg PDFs listing all vendors in a category with star ratings, Aristotly scores, and market size estimates.
  • Aristotly.com Category Page: category pages on the Aristotly platform which hosts over 1 million data points on 3300 higher ed vendors. See Aristotly's full category list here.
  • Vendor Marketing & Sales Collateral(premium & enterprise plans only): 3rd-party verified, vendor snapshots with testimonial extracts and links to on-platform reviews.
